The Rise and Fall of Islamic Empire

The Rise and Fall of Muslim Empire

The rise of an Islamic empire began in the 8th century.

Some decades back the Muslims used to dominate the world in general and philosophy, science and literature in particular. However, the things have had changed rapidly, due to the lack of discipline, unity and beliefs. Sectarianism is the major setback in the history of Islam. Therefore, the differences among the Muslim Ummah got wider and wider, and now it is the nature of the law to serve the masters.

Rise of Islam began with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his teachings; that spread over the world rapidly. The religion was meant for everybody in all parts of life, and is so. As the number of followers grow with the passage of time. The teachings of the prophet (pbuh) played vital role to form the culture, literature and dynasties.

As the religion spread in the east and west, the era of prosperity began. Some old civilization like Egyptian empire, Persian empire and Indus valley civilization helped to pave the foundation ground for the Islamic civilization in art, literature and and business.

Spread of Islam

The religion spread rapidly in the Indian Sub-continent with the invasion of Muhammad Bin Qasim. And it remain under the Muslim rule till the 17th century. After so the Muslim rulers failed to hold the steady ground.

The titular ruler Bahadar Shah Zafar says during the last days of his life in the the Burma so-called Myanmar Subho k badsha shaam ko mujrim thery, Hm ny nasibon ko you badlty bhe dekha hai. The time is to follow it’s course either one works for the betterment or kept his eyes close like pegions.

Muslim Scholars played crucial role to form the foundation grounds for the modern science and technology. The empire used to hold the biggest library in the Egypt. However, soon it was destroyed; due to lack of interest, security and above all lack of unity.

It is proved, Islam is the finest religion of the world. However, things went off-road with the quest to dominate the other states. Nowadays, most of the budget of the Muslim states is being spent on all other activities except Research and Development. As an anonymous wrote, ignorance do not have cure. By having these sorts of mindsets, this was bound to happen.

Some Well known Muslim Scholars

The list of the Muslim scientist is very long but some notable are Abu Nasr Al-Farabi (Alpharabius), Al-Battani (Albatenius), Ibn Sina (Avicenna), Ibn Battuta (Shams ad–Din), Ibn Rushd (Averroes), Muhammad ibn Musa Al-Khwarizmi (Algoritmi or Algaurizin), Omar Khayyam, Thabit ibn Qurra (Thebit), Abu Bakr Al-Razi (Rhazes), Jabir Ibn Haiyan (Geber), Ibn Ishaq Al-Kindi (Alkindus), Ibn Al-Haytham (Alhazen), Ibn Zuhr (Avenzoar, Ibn Khaldun and Ibn Al-Baitar.

The above-mentioned Muslim Scholars contributed in mathematics, science, philosophy and medicine. Without the contribution of the Muslim scientist the modern day science would not be like it is; thanks to the scholars.

Pakistan: The state of Turmoil

Lets have a look at the one and only Muslim Nuclear power state, the Pakistan, the state formed based an Muslim ideology. In the beginning, the things were smooth. However, with the demise of the Founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah and hastily drawn boundaries between India and Pakistan; the fate of the newly crated state took a dramatic turn.

Having a hostile neighbor like India, one needs to look after his own home. Therefore, since 1947, most of the budget is being spent on military. The education sector got only less share. Above all, corruption, nepotism and self-centered policies have made the situation worse.

In Pakistan, most of the citizens are ignorant by choice; their mindsets, culture and tribe never let them out of the rut. It is often said that the government servants are corrupts. Albeit the rest of the citizens are also like them. As the Islamic teachings says, Al-rashi wal mutashi, kila homa finaar.

The Way Forward

To sum up, it is the need of the hour to learn some lessons from past and work for the betterment of the world in general and for the Muslim Ummah in particular. And, it is only possible through the spread of education, elimination of ignorance and improving the research and development sector.

Constitution – An Essential Element to Run the State Affairs

Constitution - An Essential Element to Run the State Affairs

Rules are a crucial element to form a healthy community. Each of the states has its own rules for the country or region. These rules are often formed under the influence of religion some of them based on ancient principles that do not even address the issues of the contemporary world. Fortunately, it is not a case for all countries.

Islam originated in the 5th century with the arrival of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who come with a Holy book which is called Quran Majeed. The book provides rudimentary knowledge about everything but does not address each of the dimensions completely. Therefore, one needs a set of references to perform any task such as prayer. Here comes Hadith which tells method and rules to perform a prayer. Unfortunately, the whole of the ummah does not agree on the so-called rules. Sectarianism is the major issue Muslims are facing these days. Even nations are fighting others and killing hundreds of thousands, only because of religious supremacy.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as the name speaks for itself. Pakistan is an Islamic country where most of the rules are made by Muslims. It doesn’t mean, Pakistan is not human-friendly for minorities. It is a secular state as the founder of Pakistan said, “so that the life, property and religious beliefs of its subjects are fully protected by the state”. The Prime Minister of Pakistan accomplished the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah by opening the Kartarpur Corridor on November 9, 2019.

Further, Jinnah spoke in his speech,

“In any case, Pakistan is not going to be a theocratic State — to be ruled by priests with a divine mission. We have many non-Muslims — Hindus, Christians, and Parsis — but they are all Pakistanis. They will enjoy the same rights and privileges as any other citizens and will play their rightful part in the affairs of Pakistan”

Pakistan only Nuclear Power Islamic State that has much influence on Muslim Umma. Unfortunately, delay in the constitution-making lead to chaos. It is because, the lack of cooperation between the administrative personal, sectarian differences, and immediate death of the founder of the state.

Constitution of Pakistan

Roughly, there is two million pending case in Pakistan. There are thousands of people who are rotting the dark dungeons and torture cells waiting for a trial. One can say, in 1947 Great Britain left the Indian Subcontinent, but slavery didn’t abolish altogether. The elite takes that place. Bilal (Ph.D. Scholar) spoke in one conversation,

“during the formation of Constitution of 1973, the Ahmadis were declared non-Muslims. The Shia (Ahle Tashi) would follow the same fate if the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was not himself Ahle Tashi.”

Justice is very expensive in Pakistan; it is out of the reach of common citizens. Here, Judges often fear to speak of religious matters. Most of the case is often infinitely delayed. There are thousands of people behind the bar for years waiting for their trial.

Leader of Muslim Ummah in the Middle East, Kingdoms Saudi Arabia also does not have a human-friendly constitution. KSA has one of the highest execution rates in the world. During 2018, Arabia executed a couple from Pakistan whose trial was not held in the international language. How one can prove the false allegation laid against him if one is not familiar with the language?

To encapsulate, the constitution is the most element to run state affairs. It is one of the core components to form a human-friendly community.

India is Not a Secular State, How?

Indian Flag

India, the home of 1.3 billion peoples; this is the home of many different nations that are living in the Indian sub-continent since before Christ. Now the case is different, the Hindus are making efforts from head to toe to perish the minorities. Many events are gigantic evidence that Hindustan is for Hindus. India is not a secular state. The fascist PM, Narendra Modi, is perishing the rights of the Muslim population in India.

The Modi tried to perish the innocent Muslims in Kashmir by abrogating the special status of the princely state on August 5th this year. It’s been two and a half months the innocent Kashmiris are barred into Jails and the communication services are jammed. It is the extreme level of humanitarian crisis; the Muslims are the main target of this genocide.

Babri Masjid is one of the other favoritisms to the Hindu community. The case dates to 1992 when the Holy place of Muslims was perished by Hindus and many causalities occurred. The case registered into the apex court. The case remains being postponed for 30 years. In November this year, the Court announced the verdict which spoke in the favor of Hindus.

To encapsulate, in India every community is minority except Hindus and the rights of minorities are denied. It is the era of the 21st century the International community should make some effort to establish peace; law and order and bring justice to the continent.
